Annual Trail Days - Volunteer for a Free Annual Membership!
Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring and Snowshoe Foundation is holding its annual Trail Days on Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11 starting at 8:00 AM. Volunteers are needed to help clear trails for the day in exchange for a free annual membership ($65 value). Volunteers are requested to wear outdoor work clothes, footwear and gloves, and to bring a lunch and water. Bow saws and clippers are needed too. Please call the Center at 356-9920 or email at ski@MWVSkiTouring.org to sign up or for more information.

Weekly Guided Snowshoe Walks
Join us any Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm for a guided snowshoe walk along the East Branch and Saco rivers. This is a great way to try this winter activity which is gaining in popularity each season. Snowshoes are available for rent.

Winter Trails Day
A representative from Mountain Safety Research will join us at the Touring Center from 10 am - 2 pm with information about snowshoeing and free snowshoe demos to try. If you enjoy snowshoeing and would like to learn more about it or would like to give it a try for the first time, make plans to join us.

Snowshoe Demo Day
This is a great opportunity for novice and experienced snowshoers. Join us at the Touring Center from 10 am - 2 pm to learn more about the differences in equipment available, which shoes are best for the type of snowshoeing you plan on doing and you'll get to try them out for free! Call the Touring Center at 603-356-9920 for information.

Intervale-After-Dark Series
Join us for a guided tour along the gentle terrain of the Intervale Trail. Take a Full Moon Tour and cross country ski by the light of the full moon or with an amateur astronomer learning about the stars and constellations on a Stargazing Tour. These tours depart at 7:00 p.m. and last for about 1.5 hours depending on the weather. Reservations are requested and event passes are required. The Event Pass also includes a daily membership that may be used the day of or the day after the event.

Animal Tracking
This is a two hour snowshoe tour from the Touring Center. The guide for this tour is a former Fish & Game officer who is now a registered guide in both NH and Maine and an expert on animal life. Search for tracks of winter residents of forest and field and discover the mysteries of what animals do in the winter by interpreting tracks and signs they leave behind. Snowshoe at an easy pace on gentle terrain along the Saco and East Branch Rivers. Chosen as one of Yankee Magazine's favorite winter activities, this tour will depart from the Touring Center at 10:00 a.m. Reservations and a $15 Event Pass are required. Snowshoe rentals are available at the Touring Center if needed.

Annual Chocolate Festival
Our most popular event of the season! Cross country ski inn-to-inn along our 65 km of trails stopping along the way to indulge in your favorite chocolate fantasies. FREE with the purchase of a day-long Festival Membership for $20.
